A TV crew from RTE Dublin spent a day in InfoLab21 filming research by Professor Awais Rashid and Dr James Walkerdine, Computing, for a TV programme on the misuse of the internet.
A Lancaster University graduate, whose company is worth £20 million, has been crowned Enterprising Young Brit at a glittering event in London. Antony Chesworth, 29, holds a degree in Computing from the University. The award was presented by Lord Peter Mandelson.
Lancaster University research into the threat to electricity distribution grids posed by solar activity won two prizes at the UK National Astronomy Meeting held at the University of Glasgow between 12-16 April 2010.
Resident company Invosoft has just landed a major new contract with prestigious Manchester based PLC, Select Group.
InfoLab21 based web-design and development agency MJR Web has announced a new website on behalf of clients CMS Supatrak. The new site coincides with the launch of the latest product from CMS - the Safer Driving Assistant.
Two InfoLab21 Associate Companies, Quay Creative and The Baby Maze Ltd, are collaborating to stage their second Baby and Toddler Show at the Platform in Morecambe on Sunday 2nd May 2010 between 10am-3pm.
Burton-in-Kendal based design and marketing agency G1 Creative, an InfoLab21 Associate Company, won the Best in Professionalism award at The RAR (Recommended Agency Register Awards) held at The Russell Hotel in London.
ICT Focus’s Cyber Security Tutor Philippe Jan attended a round table discussion about the threats and effects of Cyber Crime. The event, organised by major hosting provider UK Fast, looked at the practical steps organisations and individuals can take to help protect themselves.
